Secondary particle formation in the atmosphere, heterogeneous reactions occurring on atmospheric particle surfaces, analytical techniques for measuring particle composition, measurement of atmospheric trace gases using laser spectroscopy, air quality modeling with an emphasis on development of new modules to simulate particle formation.
